The Gold Machine, a new essay-feature directed by GG (in collaboration with Iain Sinclair) began filming in Peru in June 2019. Filming continues in London and Hastings. The film's produced by Janine Marmot of Hot Property Films and completion is scheduled for late 2020.
Gare St Lazare's ongoing work to put the entirety of Samuel Beckett's How It Is on stage continues. Part 2, starring Conor Lovett and Stephen Dillane opens at the Everyman Theatre, Cork on September 1st. GG continues to document. Film expected by 2022. More information and promo video here.
GG has edited Here for Life, a feature film produced by Artangel and directed by Andrea Luka Zimmerman and Adrian Jackson. International Premiere was at the Locarno Festival on August 13th and it subsequently awarded the 'Special Mention' award. Film will receive theatrical distribution in Autumn 2019. GG provides original, dramatised film sequences, 'live-cinema' direction (and some clips from 'Innocence of Memories') for a new version of Virginia Wolof's Orlando at the Schaubuhne (Berlin). Adaptation directed by Katie Mitchell, written by Alice Birch. Opening night September 5th. Details here Show will visit the Barbican (London) in 2020
